Neds were fit to burst trying to keep the Unbelievable news to themselves -; now at last…

EMF will be very special guests at this year's KYTV Festival!!

2016 marks the 25th Anniversary of the release of EMF's seminal album "Schubert Dip" and it's reaching the coveted number 1 slot in the Billboard US album charts so the band will be playing selected shows across the UK to mark the anniversary. The band are also working on a very special 25th Anniversary re release of Schubert Dip.

Neds are keen to establish KYTV Festival as their very own annual self-curated inimitable indie-rock celebration by boasting unusual bills with more than the occasional surprise package…
So now at last the news is out but there are still more great bands and DJs are to be announced in due course.

KYTV Festival -; the lowdown: In July 1990 Kill Your Television shot straight to #1 in the Indie singles chart and sent Ned's Atomic Dustbin on a collision course with the pop charts

Being their 'cross-over' single, Kill Your Television the song, the slogan, the t-shirt and the 'get off your backside and do something' sentiment still stand as the deepest footprint that the band have left on the indie rock planet and 25 years later the band (all 5 original members) are looking to cement the legacy with their annual Kill Your Television Festival.

A hugely successful inaugural KYTV Festival was held in December 2015 at the band's spiritual hometown venue -; Wolverhampton Civic Hall, scene of many of their end-of-year home-coming shows attended historically by audiences from across the globe; seekers of that magical atmosphere that the venue evokes for the fans of Ned. Now the band is taking the festival on the road to another favourite venue of theirs -; Manchester Academy.

Concorde 2, Brighton: Saturday 23 July 2016

Oh no! Ned's Atomic Dustbin are running out of marketable anniversaries!

In 2016 it's 25 years since our first Sony single 'Happy' broke into the top 20 and consequently 25 years since our debut album 'God Fodder' landed with a thud in the top 5, so we must be in the rehearsal studio honing down the whole album ready for a 25th anniversary tour - right? Wrong! "Fancy a trip to the seaside for a change chaps?" "Yep, sounds good!" You see we played the 'classic album from start to finish' dates back when the record was 20 years old… best not milk it eh!

As you know, we're a curmudgeonly crew at the best of times so don't ever expect us to do the expected -; in this instance we are keen to return to the place where we first aired 'Happy' during our first ever live broadcast for the Mark Goodier show on Radio One at the infamous Zap Club way back in 1990 and while we're at it we've decided to exercise a pun that has probably been considered by a plethora of others down the decades.

Neds have played a lot of 'Best of' and 'Greatest hits' shows in recent times so we've decided to play a smaller more intimate show for you hardcore friends and reward your long trip to the coast by wheeling out a bunch of rarities which have seen very few, if any, live airings up to now.
So, it's 'B-Sides the Seaside' then.

Now all we have to do is decide what rarities to play, oh and which of the hits and your other live faves to intersperse as the other half of this sweaty set!

Tickets on sale at 9am on Friday 25 March:
